SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 510
 
  In Memory
  of
  Russell P. Borea
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Sergeant First Class Russell P. Borea,
  who died January 19, 2007, at the age of 38 while serving his
  country in Iraq; and
         WHEREAS, Sergeant Borea was a member of the 2nd Battalion,
  7th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry
  Division, based at Fort Bliss; and
         WHEREAS, Sergeant Borea was known for his calm nature and
  soft-spoken, gentle demeanor; he was also known for his resolute
  will and exemplary service as a soldier; and
         WHEREAS, Sergeant Borea demonstrated unwavering resolve
  and courage in the performance of his duties during combat
  operations in Mosul; he was killed when a makeshift bomb exploded
  near his Humvee; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, he was beloved by
  his family and friends, and he will long be remembered for his
  generous spirit and his many accomplishments; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of Sergeant First Class Russell P. Borea; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Sergeant First Class Russell P. Borea.
