SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 538

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay tribute to Ida B. McNeely on the grand occasion of her 100th birthday; and

WHEREAS, This gracious lady is well known for her charm and generosity of spirit; she was born April 4, 1907, in Italy, Texas; she is now a beloved resident of Fort Worth; and

WHEREAS, She married Bill McNeely on September 9, 1924, and the couple enjoyed 60 years together; and

WHEREAS, Ida has one daughter, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild is on the way; and

WHEREAS, A revered and respected member of her community, Ida B. McNeely is noted for her wise and engaging personality and her courage and compassion for others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby recognize Ida B. McNeely as a treasured citizen of the State of Texas and extend to her best wishes on the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her to commemorate this special day. Brimer
