SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 547

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Carlos Fierro, who is retiring from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles as director of specialized programs after more than 26 years of loyal service to the state; and

WHEREAS, Carlos Fierro began his career with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles by serving as a parole caseworker in the Midland-Odessa Office; he was promoted to the position of district parole officer in the El Paso District Parole Office and returned to the Midland-Odessa Office as a unit supervisor; and

WHEREAS, He went on to serve as a hearing analyst and a director of programs in the Central Office and became a regional director in the El Paso Office; he is now retiring as manager II and director of specialized programs in the Central Office; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Carlos has handled his many responsibilities with exceptional skill and dedication; and

WHEREAS, He has been an exemplary administrator, and his presence in the offices of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles will be missed; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend Carlos Fierro for his exceptional service with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles and his many contributions to this state; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate. Watson
