SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 568

WHEREAS, July 1, 2007, marks the 40th wedding anniversary of Howard Lynn DuBose and Linda Sue DuBose of Devine, Texas; this joyous event provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as husband and wife; and

WHEREAS, Howard DuBose and Linda Kierum were joined in matrimony in 1967 at a ceremony held in Devine; through the years they have been blessed with a wonderful family; their children, Kevin, Denise, and Karla, and their grandchildren, Lance, Austin, Vivian, and Ella, have brought them great joy; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. DuBose both graduated from Devine High School; Mr. DuBose is retired from civil service at Kelly Air Force Base, and Mrs. DuBose has worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years; they have lived in Devine throughout their marriage, but they enjoy spending every free moment at their property in scenic Rocksprings; and

WHEREAS, As they have encountered life's numerous challenges over the last 40 years, Mr. and Mrs. DuBose have drawn strength and determination from their love, and their support of one another has allowed them to persevere through trying times; and

WHEREAS, The loving relationship that Mr. and Mrs. DuBose share is truly an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Howard DuBose on their 40th wedding anniversary; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their lives. Uresti
