SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 584
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce on the grand |
|
|
occasion of its 50th anniversary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since 1957, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce has been providing guidance and innovative leadership |
|
|
to ensure a successful business climate, excellence in |
|
|
education, and a good quality of life for the citizens of |
|
|
Northeast Tarrant County; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The chamber now represents more than 940 business |
|
|
partners primarily in Haltom City, North Richland Hills, |
|
|
Richland Hills, and Watauga, who greatly benefit from the |
|
|
chamber's networking opportunities, special programs and events, |
|
|
and information resources; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The leaders of the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce are outstanding men and women who generously share their |
|
|
time and expertise to support the chamber's programs; executive |
|
|
officers include Dr. Larry Darlage, chairman, and John Pena, |
|
|
chairman-elect; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The chamber's vice-chairs, with their areas of |
|
|
specialization, are Marilyn Ackmann, membership; Alan Brandenburgh, |
|
|
economic development; Rhonda White, business-to-business |
|
|
development; Ruth Ann Reagan, special events; and Dina Migchelbrink, |
|
|
community development; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The chamber has benefited from the leadership of |
|
|
its president and chief executive officer, Robert G. Hamilton, |
|
|
and its immediate past chairman, David Nelson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce has |
|
|
played a pivotal role in the development of a diverse economy in |
|
|
the communities of Northeast Tarrant County, and it deserves |
|
|
recognition for its outstanding services; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Northeast Tarrant |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce for their many contributions to the progress of |
|
|
Northeast Tarrant County and extend to all congratulations on the |
|
|
chamber's 50th anniversary; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an |
|
|
expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
