SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 585

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Ed and Linda Whitacre for their many years of work on behalf of children; and

WHEREAS, Ed and Linda Whitacre are the guests of honor at Respite Care of San Antonio's fifth annual Celebration of Love and Children, which is being held March 22, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Respite Care of San Antonio provides a safe haven for children with special needs and complex medical diagnoses; it is the only agency licensed by the state to care for special-needs children who are in the protective custody of the state; and

WHEREAS, Ed and Linda Whitacre have through the years been a source of much comfort and aid for the children of the San Antonio area; they are truly deserving of legislative recognition for their generosity and good will; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend Ed and Linda Whitacre for their exemplary efforts on behalf of children in this state; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. Wentworth
