SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 625

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to join the citizens of Leakey and Real County in paying tribute to the honorable men and women of the United States Armed Forces who are courageously serving their country; and

WHEREAS, On March 28, 2007, church leaders and citizens in Leakey and Real County came together for a community-wide rally to show their support for the troops in song, prayer, and praise; and

WHEREAS, The State of Texas is grateful to the thousands of military men and women who are serving in distant lands, far from their families and friends and the comforts of home, defending the liberties we hold so dear; and

WHEREAS, In facing the daunting challenges of their missions with courage and heroism, these men and women bring honor to themselves, their families, their communities, and their country; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby join the citizens of Leakey and Real County in supporting our troops and in extending best wishes to our military personnel and their families for a successful mission and a safe return; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them as a memento of this special occasion. Uresti
