SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 642

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Lake Travis Black Storm soccer team, which recently won the world championship title at the SI for Kids Kick-It 3v3 World Championships at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida; and

WHEREAS, The Black Storm entered the tournament ranked eighth in the world and, after competing against teams from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, emerged as world champions; and

WHEREAS, These young athletes demonstrated great talent and perseverance in winning this title; Parker Sipes, Vance Perkins, Jack King, Dominick Mollo, Paco Alvarado, and Parker Fyfe can take great pride in being a member of a championship team; and

WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership of their coaches, Jack Sipes and Chris Mollo, the Lake Travis Black Storm team has developed exceptional teamwork and discipline; and

WHEREAS, The Black Storm soccer team deserves legislative recognition for their hard work, their impressive athletic skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend the Lake Travis Black Storm soccer team for a successful season and extend congratulations to them on winning the world championship title at the SI for Kids Kick-It 3v3 World Championships; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the team members and coaches as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. Watson
