SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 644
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize George L. Grayson, who retired on February 28, 2007,
after 22 years and eight months of loyal service with the Office
of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
       WHEREAS, George joined the comptroller's office in 1984 and
served in the Tulsa audit office as an auditor; his experience
includes work in sales and use tax, franchise tax, motor vehicle
tax, and diesel fuels tax; and
       WHEREAS, Throughout his career, George has been known for
his superior organizational skills and expertise; he specialized
in unclaimed property auditing and was a valuable asset to the
Criminal Investigation Division; and
       WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, George has
handled his many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
and dedication; and
       WHEREAS, George is an exemplary employee, and his presence
at the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be
greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend George L. Grayson on his
exceptional service to the Office of the Comptroller of Public
Accounts and our state and extend to him best wishes for the
retirement years ahead; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
