SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 672
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Chuck Fairbanks for his outstanding service to
his community and his support of the boys and young men of
Royal Ranger Outpost 33; and
       WHEREAS, For more than five years, Chuck Fairbanks has
given of his time and financial resources to help the boys and
young men in the Royal Ranger program; he provides the use of his
facility, Chuck Fairbanks Chevrolet, for Royal Ranger activities,
including the program's pinewood derby, and pays for the trophies
and ribbons that are awarded; and
       WHEREAS, The Royal Ranger program was established in 1962;
it is similar to the Boy Scout program and seeks to instruct,
challenge, and inspire young men in the areas of Bible doctrine,
Christian service, moral conduct, and duty to country; participants
are rewarded through campouts, games, trips, and awards; and
       WHEREAS, By supporting the Royal Ranger program,
Chuck Fairbanks allows the program to help those who otherwise
could not have participated, and he is having a positive influence
on the communities of Red Oak, Dallas, and the Ellis County area;
now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend Chuck Fairbanks for his support
of the boys and young men in the Royal Rangers program and his
generosity and outstanding service to his community; and,
be it further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
