SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 683

WHEREAS, Dillon Thomas Sather of Troop 911 in San Antonio has recently been honored by the Boy Scouts of America for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Dillon planned, developed, and conducted a service project that has benefited his community, and he is recognized as an outstanding leader; and

WHEREAS, For his Eagle project, Dillon refurbished and painted a church assembly area for the Blossom Christian Fellowship Church; and

WHEREAS, Dillon has brought great honor to himself in earning the coveted Eagle Badge, and his family, his troop, his community, and his state are justly proud of his great accomplishment; and

WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, this personable young man advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Dillon has become one of the select few who have earned this prestigious honor, and he is a shining example to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Dillon Thomas Sather on becoming an Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Sather as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. Van de Putte
