SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 714
       WHEREAS, The Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets
Company E-2 or Rebel-E, the Mascot Company Class of 1970 Main
Men, with select members of the Class of 1971, have severally
and individually protected, defended, and helped preserve the
traditions and sanctity of the great State of Texas and their
country in past service as officers in various branches of the
United States Army; and
       WHEREAS, The Rebel-E Main Men, currently approximating
20 souls, have served in various career capacities in the
United States military, the Texas National Guard, and the state
and federal government and in civilian employment in education
and industry; and
       WHEREAS, The Rebel-E Main Men have served in various
charities and nonprofit organizations generally benefiting all
of the citizens of the great State of Texas and their local
communities and they continue to serve the interests and welfare
of the great State of Texas; and
       WHEREAS, The Rebel-E Main Men have demonstrated and
enjoyed the bonds of brotherhood and friendship and served their
mutual well-being for over 40 years; and
       WHEREAS, The Rebel-E Main Men--with the exception of three é
migrés to the East Coast and one to the West Coast, whose
relocations having simultaneously improved the quality of life
both in the states to which the members have relocated and in this
grand state--have remained true and faithful to the time-honored
traditions of Texas A&M University and as citizens and residents
of the great State of Texas; and
       WHEREAS, The Rebel-E Main Men have vowed to continue to
serve each other and the great State of Texas and to continually
improve in that endeavor, and to that end do hereby pledge to meet
annually for this undertaking; the current training shall be from
April 26 through 30, 2007, and shall be known as the Seventh
Annual Main Men Sensitivity Training; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend the Texas A&M University
Rebel-E Main Men on their outstanding contributions to the
improvement of life within and outside of the great
State of Texas and on their dedication to the Seventh Annual Main
Men Sensitivity Training and extend to them best wishes for
continued happiness in their various careers and retirements;
and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the Texas A&M University Rebel-E Main Men as an expression of
high regard from the Texas Senate.
