SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 759
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Sean Michael DuBose, who died March 28, 2007,
at the age of 23; and
       WHEREAS, Sean DuBose was born in Arlington on February 13, 1984;
he was a 2002 graduate of the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen
and a 2006 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he was a
member of the Kappa Alpha Order; and
       WHEREAS, He was an Eagle Scout, and he had been employed as
a district scout executive with the Boy Scouts of America,
serving volunteers and scouts; and
       WHEREAS, He was a devoted member of Saint John the Evangelist
Catholic Church and he practiced his faith in his daily life; and
       WHEREAS, A respected member of his community, he belonged to
the Knights of Columbus, the OK Masonic Lodge 539, and the Hejaz
Shrine Temple; and
       WHEREAS, Sean was a kind, caring young man who enriched the
lives of all who knew him with his love and compassion and his
concern for others; and
       WHEREAS, He was a devoted son and grandson and a loyal friend,
and he leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by all
who knew him; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature,
hereby extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of
Sean Michael DuBose: his mother, Judith Ann Cushman DuBose;
his grandparents, Charles and Betty DuBose; and his fiancée,
Catherine Franklin; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
from the Texas Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
it do so in memory of Sean Michael DuBose.
