SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 814

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Erin Michelle Warren on earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, which will be presented to her by the Tejas Girl Scout Council on May 6, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Few Girl Scouts attain this distinguished award; it is the highest level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and

WHEREAS, Fulfilling the requirements of the Gold Award develops leadership skills and organizational abilities as well as a commitment to community service; girls working toward the award gain valuable experience that will contribute to their future success; and

WHEREAS, Erin has designed and conducted a service project that will have a positive and lasting effect on her community; and

WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Erin has brought honor to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and she deserves recognition for her dedication and achievement; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend Erin Michelle Warren on receiving this prestigious award and extend to her congratulations on her exemplary accomplishment; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. West
