SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 868
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Aurora C. Moore, who is retiring from the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts on April 30, 2007, after 28 years
and 10 months of loyal service with the state; and
       WHEREAS, Aurora began her career with the state in May of 1978;
in July of 1978 she worked as an employee in Migrant Affairs for
Governor Dolph Briscoe; she began her service in the comptroller's
office in May of 1979 and has held a variety of managerial positions
over the years; and
       WHEREAS, She was an enforcement officer, an assistant
director of Telephone Bank Operations, an assistant director of
the Collection Center and Tax Assistance, a management trainer in
Staff Development, and a project manager for the Tobacco Grant
Program; and
       WHEREAS, In September of 2002, she became area manager in
the Account Maintenance Division, where her most recent
responsibilities have entailed overseeing a special task force;
and
       WHEREAS, Throughout her career with the state, Aurora has
handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
and dedication; and
       WHEREAS, She has been an exemplary employee who earned the
admiration and respect of her colleagues, and her presence in
the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend Aurora C. Moore for her exceptional
service and her many contributions to our state; and, be it
further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
