SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 889

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to join the members of the Willis City Council, the Mayor of Willis, and citizens in the community in paying tribute to Councilman W. L. "Blackie" Bilnoski on the occasion of his retirement after 37 years of public service; and

WHEREAS, Blackie Bilnoski began serving on the Willis City Council on April 8, 1969; he will retire on May 15, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure as a member of the Willis City Council, Blackie has demonstrated a high level of dedication, integrity, and professionalism; and

WHEREAS, He has enthusiastically accepted the challenges of taking on new projects and has been devotedly dedicated to serving the interests of the citizens of Willis, who will long reap the benefits of his exemplary service; and

WHEREAS, Blackie has been an inspiration to those who have had the pleasure to know him and work with him, and his presence on the Willis City Council will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend W. L. "Blackie" Bilnoski for his exceptional service to his community and his many contributions to the City of Willis as city councilman; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. Nichols
