SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 934

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Beaumont, Houston, and Bonham in mourning the loss of Jonathan Michael Bailey, who died April 5, 2007, at the age of 22; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan Bailey was born on April 4, 1985, in Killeen; his family relocated to Beaumont in 1988; and

WHEREAS, He was a junior at Rice University and a member of the Rice Owls basketball team; he was a 2004 graduate of West Brook High School, where he served as captain of the varsity basketball team; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan was a beloved son and brother; he was a delightful young man who brought great joy and happiness to his family and friends, and he will continue to live forever in their hearts; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Jonathan Bailey: his mother, Dianna Lombardo Bailey; his father, David Bailey; his twin brother, Janson Bailey; his brothers, Joshua and Christopher Bailey and Alexander Springer; and his grandmother, Madelyn Lombardo; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jonathan Michael Bailey. Ellis
