SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 963
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens |
|
of Houston in mourning the loss of Richard Frank Smith, who died |
|
April 28, 2007, at the age of 53; and |
|
WHEREAS, Richard Smith served the community as a Houston |
|
firefighter for 30 years, and he was a member of the Houston |
|
Livestock Show and Rodeo safety committee; a patriotic American, |
|
he served his country as a medical corpsman in the United States |
|
Army; and |
|
WHEREAS, Richard was very enterprising and owned his own |
|
business, Bay Breeze Carpet Cleaning; and |
|
WHEREAS, Richard's family was the center of his life, and |
|
he leaves behind memories that will be cherished by his family |
|
and all who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the |
|
bereaved family of Richard Frank Smith: his wife, Elsa; his |
|
daughter, Adrienne; his sons, Richard and Daniel; and his sister, |
|
Carol; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy |
|
from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Richard Frank Smith. |
