SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 965
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Alfred A. Banzer on the occasion of his retirement |
|
from Verizon Southwest in Austin; and |
|
WHEREAS, Alfred Banzer has been the state regulatory |
|
affairs manager for Verizon Southwest since 1998; before |
|
joining Verizon, he was manager of state pricing and tariffs |
|
with GTE Telephone Operations in Irving from 1993 to 1998; and |
|
WHEREAS, Originally from New York, Mr. Banzer earned a |
|
bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering at the |
|
University of Maryland; he joined General Telephone Company |
|
of the Southeast in Durham, North Carolina, in 1972 and held |
|
various positions in the engineering, planning, regulatory |
|
affairs, tariffs, and product management departments before |
|
moving to Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, he has |
|
handled his many responsibilities with exceptional skill and |
|
dedication and has earned the admiration and respect of his |
|
colleagues; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
80th Legislature, hereby commend Alfred A. Banzer for his many |
|
achievements and extend best wishes to him in all his future |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
