SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 982
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Eva Marie Mosby
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Eva Marie Mosby,
  who died April 23, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Eva Marie married James E. Mosby, Jr., in 1936,
  one year after she graduated from Tillotson College; and
         WHEREAS, She and her late husband worked closely together
  as educators and church and community volunteers for many years;
  they were two of the five founding members of Holy Cross Catholic
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, A leader in her community, Mrs. Mosby was active
  with Catholic Charities, Caritas, Texas Conference of Churches,
  the Austin Historic Landmark Commission, the Saint Vincent de Paul
  Society, Ladies of Charity of Austin, the American Red Cross,
  and many other organizations; and
         WHEREAS, Noted for her charm, her kindness, and her
  enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest, Eva Marie Mosby
  made a significant difference in the lives of others; she was a
  dearly loved mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly
  missed; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of Eva Marie Mosby: her daughters and sons-in-law,
  Eva Marie and James Hill, Mary Bacon, Bernadette and William Cay,
  Gloria Aldridge, and Naomi White; her son and daughters-in-law,
  Gerard and Lynetta Mosby and Grace Mosby; her sister,
  Marjorie Harp; and her 18 grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Eva Marie Mosby.
