SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 990
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Arbor Creek Middle School in Carrollton, which |
|
|
recently earned Gold Performance Acknowledgements from the |
|
|
Texas Education Agency, and to welcome its seventh grade |
|
|
class to the State Capitol; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Gold Performance Acknowledgements are awarded for |
|
|
numerous indicators; Arbor Creek Middle School was acknowledged |
|
|
for attendance and for comparable improvement on reading and |
|
|
English language arts and received commendations on writing and |
|
|
on social studies; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Arbor Creek Middle School community of |
|
|
students, teachers, and parents works together with trust and |
|
|
mutual respect to ensure academic success and responsible |
|
|
student involvement in school, family, and society; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |

|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby commend the students, faculty, and |
|
|
staff of Arbor Creek Middle School for their many accomplishments |
|
|
and extend congratulations to the school on receiving Gold |
|
|
Performance Acknowledgements from the Texas Education Agency; |
|
|
and, be it further |

|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
the school as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
