SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 991
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Koch-Glitsch LP in Dallas, whose outstanding safety |
|
|
program has earned the company star status in the Voluntary |
|
|
Protection Programs of the Occupational Safety and Health |
|
|
Administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Voluntary Protection Programs promote |
|
|
effective worksite-based safety and health; star status |
|
|
recognition honors the commitment and combined efforts of |
|
|
employers and employees to upholding high occupational safety |
|
|
and health standards; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Koch-Glitsch is one of only a few companies in |
|
|
the Dallas area to have achieved the star status recognition; |
|
|
the company offers unique technology with a wide range of |
|
|
services and strategically located manufacturing facilities; |
|
|
the Dallas facility manufactures packing products for the |
|
|
chemical and petrochemical industry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 43 employees in the Dallas facility have |
|
|
worked for more than three years without an injury that resulted |
|
|
in time away from work; Koch-Glitsch was selected last year as |
|
|
one of America's safest companies by Occupational Hazards |
|
|
magazine; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Koch-Glitsch has demonstrated its commitment to |
|
|
providing a safe and healthy work environment and has been |
|
|
recognized for the outstanding efforts of the management and the |
|
|
employees, who have achieved exemplary standards of occupational |
|
|
safety and health; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Koch-Glitsch LP on |
|
|
receiving the star status from the Voluntary Protection Programs |
|
|
of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and commend |
|
|
all the members of its staff for their efforts to improve |
|
|
workplace safety; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an |
|
|
expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
