SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 991
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Koch-Glitsch LP in Dallas, whose outstanding safety
  program has earned the company star status in the Voluntary
  Protection Programs of the Occupational Safety and Health
  Administration; and
         WHEREAS, The Voluntary Protection Programs promote
  effective worksite-based safety and health; star status
  recognition honors the commitment and combined efforts of
  employers and employees to upholding high occupational safety
  and health standards; and
         WHEREAS, Koch-Glitsch is one of only a few companies in
  the Dallas area to have achieved the star status recognition;
  the company offers unique technology with a wide range of
  services and strategically located manufacturing facilities;
  the Dallas facility manufactures packing products for the
  chemical and petrochemical industry; and
         WHEREAS, The 43 employees in the Dallas facility have
  worked for more than three years without an injury that resulted
  in time away from work; Koch-Glitsch was selected last year as
  one of America's safest companies by Occupational Hazards 
  magazine; and
         WHEREAS, Koch-Glitsch has demonstrated its commitment to
  providing a safe and healthy work environment and has been
  recognized for the outstanding efforts of the management and the
  employees, who have achieved exemplary standards of occupational
  safety and health; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Koch-Glitsch LP on
  receiving the star status from the Voluntary Protection Programs
  of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and commend
  all the members of its staff for their efforts to improve
  workplace safety; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an
  expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
