SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1006
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Harper Foley for earning a place on the National Skeet
  Shooting Association's Junior All-American First Team and on the
  Texas Skeet Shooters Association's All-State Junior Team for
  2007; and
 
         WHEREAS, A sophomore at Uvalde High School, Harper has been
  shooting competitively for three years; he competed in 14
  registered shoots in 2006, firing on 5,600 targets in 12 gauge,
  20 gauge, 28 gauge, .410 bore, and doubles competition; and
 
         WHEREAS, Harper finished 2006 as the sixth-highest average
  leader in the nation in Junior 20 gauge with a 98.52 percent
  average; he collected four Open Gun and Open High All Around
  championships, 12 Junior Gun, Junior High Overall Average, and
  Junior High All Around championships, and 10 Open Two-man Team
  championships; he is the standing Junior Runner-Up World Champion
  in 12 gauge; and
 
         WHEREAS, Harper is truly deserving of recognition for his
  talent, hard work, and dedication to excelling in the sport of
  skeet shooting; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Harper Foley
  on being named to the National Skeet Shooting Association's
  Junior All-American First Team and the Texas Skeet Shooters
  Association's All-State Junior Team; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
