SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1017

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Alexander Garrett Sutton III on the grand occasion of his 60th birthday; and

WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a highly respected resident of The Woodlands and a leader in his community; and

WHEREAS, Alex Sutton was born May 23, 1947, in Dallas; he and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 38 years and are the parents of Elizabeth, Penny, Holly, and Andy; they have been blessed with four grandchildren, and they live in The Woodlands Town Center; and

WHEREAS, Alex serves as copresident of The Woodlands Development Company; he is a licensed professional engineer and a certified public accountant who has authored a number of technical papers; he also holds two patents for computer-aided management approaches to managing public works systems; and

WHEREAS, In celebration of his birthday, his family and friends are gathering on May 24, 2007, to congratulate him and share in this milestone in his life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Alex Sutton on his 60th birthday and extend best wishes to him in all his future endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. Williams
