SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1025

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Theresa Martinez on the grand occasion of her 60th birthday; and

WHEREAS, This gracious lady is well known for her charm and generosity of spirit, and she is a beloved resident of Austin; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Martinez was born on May 14, 1947, in Ecleto, Texas, to Leandro and Epifania Molina; she has worked hard for more than 40 years and has been a devoted parent to her children, Steve, Shirley, John, and Jennifer; and

WHEREAS, The heart of her family, she has always been available for her children in their times of need and is now there for her grandchildren as well; her deep love and many sacrifices stand as an inspiration to all who have known her; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby recognize Theresa Martinez as a treasured citizen of Austin and our state and extend to her best wishes on the occasion of her 60th birthday; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
