SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1040
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio in recognizing Gloria Jimenez, who is
  retiring on May 16, 2007, after 30 years of loyal service with
  AT&T Services, Incorporated; and
 
         WHEREAS, Gloria joined the company in 1972 as a file clerk
  and rose through the ranks to her present position of executive
  assistant in the Legal Department; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she has been noted for her
  superior organizational skills and expertise; and
 
         WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, she has
  handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
  and dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, Gloria's friends and colleagues are paying
  tribute to her at a reception being held in her honor at the
  Alameda Theater on May 16; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Gloria is admired and
  respected by her colleagues, and her presence in the Legal
  Department will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby commend Gloria Jimenez for her years
  of exceptional service with AT&T Services, Incorporated,
  and her many contributions to our state and extend to her best
  wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
