SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1070

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Javier Julian Ramirez, Jr., on the auspicious occasion of his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin; and

WHEREAS, Javier is graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in sociology on May 18, 2007; and

WHEREAS, The first university graduate from his family, Javier has initiated a legacy for other family members to follow; in recognition of his achievements, a commemorative brick with his name and Class of 2007 is displayed on campus, and he has become a lifetime member of the Texas Exes; and

WHEREAS, A high achiever, Javier establishes and pursues his goals with perseverance and a clear vision of his future; his notable accomplishments in school bear witness to his dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby commend Javier Julian Ramirez, Jr., on the celebratory occasion of his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin and extend to him best wishes for success in the years ahead; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. West
