SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1086

WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the passing of Mary Katherine O'Neal of Alba on November 10, 2006, at the age of 78; and

WHEREAS, Born in Wood County, to Moses Ellis and Ellie Leona Morrow Love on March 29, 1928, Kathy O'Neal was a lifelong resident of Alba; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. O'Neal was a valued congregant of the Alba Church of Christ; she was also a homemaker and the owner and operator of a local restaurant; and

WHEREAS, Kathy O'Neal lived a caring and purposeful life, and she will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Mary Katherine O'Neal and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: her children and their spouses, Sammy Wayne and Deanna Pope, Edward and Brenda Pope, and Janell and David Schroeder; her brother, Shelby Love; her sister, Irean Lennon; her four grandchildren; and her other relatives and friends; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kathy O'Neal. Janek
