SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1090
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Sharon Porter, who is retiring on May 24, 2007, after
  many years of loyal service with the Office of the Comptroller of
  Public Accounts; and
         WHEREAS, Sharon joined the comptroller's office in 1979 and
  served in the Inheritance Tax Division before transferring to the
  Fuels Tax Division; she then joined the Revenue Accounting
  Division, where she served as an accounts examiner, a lead
  examiner, and a supervisor; she also served as a division manager
  over the word processing services section; she is concluding her
  outstanding career in the Accounts Maintenance Division; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Sharon has been noted for
  her superior organizational skills and accounting expertise; and
         WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, Sharon has
  handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
  and dedication; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Sharon is admired and
  respected by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of
  the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby commend Sharon Porter on her
  exceptional service to the Office of the Comptroller of Public
  Accounts and her many contributions to our state and extend to
  her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
