SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1106
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased |
|
|
to recognize Sims Elementary School on the occasion of its |
|
|
50th anniversary; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Sims Elementary School, located at |
|
|
1203 Springdale Road in Austin, was built in 1956; it educates |
|
|
students from prekindergarten through fifth grades; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The school is dedicated to its mission of |
|
|
educating and creating well-rounded, productive citizens; |
|
|
and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the last 50 years, Sims Elementary School |
|
|
has been led by outstanding principals; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The faculty of the school has provided superior |
|
|
educational opportunities for students, and its students have |
|
|
gone on to succeed in higher levels of education and all walks |
|
|
of life; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby honor the students, faculty, and |
|
|
principal of Sims Elementary School and extend best wishes to |
|
|
all for the future; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as |
|
|
an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
