SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1111
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize J. Pat Richmond on the auspicious occasion of his
  graduation from West Texas A&M University; and
 
         WHEREAS, Pat graduated from the West Texas A&M University
  School of Arts and Humanities with a bachelor's degree in general
  studies on May 12, 2007; he returned to college at the age of 53,
  after a 30-year absence from the rigors of academic life; and
 
         WHEREAS, Pat has been a valuable member of the Amarillo
  community for many years; he serves on the board of directors of
  the Amarillo Executives Club and of the Amarillo Chamber of
  Commerce and is a respected member of the Glazer's Wholesale
  Distributors Texas Management team; and
 
         WHEREAS, A high achiever, Pat establishes and pursues his
  goals with a clear vision of his future; his notable accomplishments
  in school bear witness to his dedication and outstanding abilities;
  now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby commend J. Pat Richmond on the momentous
  occasion of his graduation from West Texas A&M University and
  extend to him best wishes for additional success in the years
  ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
