SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1138
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Celia A. White on the occasion of her retirement from
  the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after more than 23 years
  of loyal service to the state; and
 
         WHEREAS, Celia joined the Department of Criminal Justice
  in October of 1983 as a clerk in the Review and Release Processing
  Section of the Parole Division; and
 
         WHEREAS, Over the years, she has handled her many
  responsibilities with exceptional skill and dedication; she
  advanced from clerk to clerical supervisor to administrative
  technician; she was promoted to program specialist in June, 2006;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, Her friends and colleagues will honor her with a
  reception on May 30, 2007; and
 
         WHEREAS, She has been an exemplary employee who earned the
  admiration and respect of her colleagues, and her presence at the
  Texas Department of Criminal Justice will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby commend Celia A. White for her many
  years of valuable service to the state and extend to her best
  wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
