SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1153
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Michael Ray Delgado
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
  of Amarillo in mourning the loss of Michael Ray "Bubba" Delgado,
  who died April 7, 2007, at the age of 23; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Delgado was a generous and kindhearted
  young man who believed in fairness and protected those who were
  persecuted by others; he had sponsored a child in Bangladesh
  through World Vision since he was 17 years old; and
         WHEREAS, Michael was born on February 10, 1984; he attended
  Amarillo High School and graduated from Richard Milburn Academy
  in 2002; diligent and hardworking, he was a manager and delivery
  driver for Pizza Hut; and
         WHEREAS, He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and playing
  soccer, and he was a fan of Ford Mustangs and the New Orleans Saints
  football team; and
         WHEREAS, Michael was a beloved son and brother who brought
  great joy and happiness into the lives of all the members of
  his family, and he will remain eternally in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Michael Ray Delgado: his mother, Shanda Ratliff, and
  her husband, Kenneth; his father, Joe Mario Delgado; his sister
  and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Rusty Glenn; his stepbrother,
  Kalob Ratliff; his grandmothers, Valera Williams and
  Ida Sosa Delgado; his uncles, Ronald and Lecil Williams and Tony,
  Danny, and Albert Delgado; and his aunt, Cecelia Kerr; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Michael Ray Delgado.
