SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1191

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Fayette Electric Cooperative, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year; and

WHEREAS, The Fayette Electric Cooperative provides affordable, reliable electricity to some 9,000 member owners in all or parts of seven counties; and

WHEREAS, The cooperative has 2,666 miles of line serving individual residences, farms, ranches, and businesses in Austin, Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, Lee, and Washington Counties; and

WHEREAS, Since its incorporation in 1937, Fayette Electric Cooperative has continued to fulfill its mission while supporting the communities it serves with practicable programs and outstanding service; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby congratulate the members, administrators, and staff of Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, on seven decades of successful cooperative service and extend best wishes for a memorable 70th anniversary; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the cooperative as a memento of this special occasion.
