SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1205

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Mrs. Mary Helen Perry on the grand occasion of her 90th birthday; and

WHEREAS, This gracious lady is well known for her charm and generosity of spirit, and she is a revered resident of Houston; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Perry was born June 21, 1917, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana; she is the mother of two daughters, the grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 13, and the great-great-grandmother of eight; and

WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of her community, she is noted for her courage, her compassion for others, and her enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and

WHEREAS, In celebration of her birthday, friends and family are gathering on June 23, 2007, to congratulate her and share in this milestone in her life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby recognize Mrs. Mary Helen Perry as a treasured citizen of Houston and our state; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as a memento of this special day.
