No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require Discplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) placement for students who commit assault to cause bodily injury against a victim other than a public school employee and for students who engage in reckless conduct that contains elements of assault against a school employee. The bill would require expulsion for students who intentionally commit assault against a school employee.
