The bill requires a record vote in both houses of the legislature on approval of any bill or joint resolution including non-ceremonial resolutions, and other appointments or elections of legislative officers or other public officials and confirmations of an appointment or nomination to public office. The votes include approval on second or third reading, approval of a measure amended by the other house, and adoption of a conference committee report. The votes shall be recorded in the journals of the appropriate house.
