No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require an election officer to provide a signed statement to a voter who was not accepted to vote.  The statement is required to be on a form that is developed by the secretary of state, and the secretary of state could use an existing form to provide the statement.  The bill would require the secretary of state to study the filings of the statemens and recommend to the legislature at least biennially any changes to reduce the number of ineligibles voters not accepted.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
