No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code by further defining the conditions under which a person is justified in using force against another.  The bill would also amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to immunity from civil liability for personal injury or death that results from the defendant's use of deadly force.

The Office of Court Administration has determined that the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State.
