Honorable David Swinford, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB306 by Farrar (Relating to an abortion for a victim of incest or sexual assault.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow a person to obtain voluntary and informed consent to an abortion without complying with the requirements for such consent set forth in Health and Safety Code, Chapter 171, Subchapter B if a pregnancy is the result of conduct constituting a felony. The Department of State Health Services estimates no fiscal impact as existing staff will revise licensing rules.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
