HB409 by Eissler (Relating to requiring certain inmates to receive a high school equivalency certificate before their release or as a condition of release on parole or to mandatory supervision.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code by further defining the requirements for release on parole or mandatory supervision that an inmate demonstrate to a parole panel relating to educational skill level or achievement. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has determined that the cost of implementing the bill would not be significant.
