IN RE:
HB448 by Phillips (Relating to the calculation of child support obligations.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to increase the child support guidelines threshold every 6 years based on the federal guidelines. The bill would require minor modifications to the OAG’s child support system as well as to policies, procedures, and training materials. However, this cost could be absorbed within current state resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
