Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, Amarillo College may lease or convey the real property specified in the bill. If the college receives cash for the lease or conveyance, the college must use the proceeds only to accomplish a state public purpose. Depending on the terms of the lease or conveyance, the transacation may have a positive fiscal impact for the college.
