HB649 by McCall (Relating to the fraudulent use of a child's identifying information.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code relating to the fraudulent use or possession of identifying information to include identifying information of a child younger than 18 years of age, regardless of consent.  The offense of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information is punishable as a state jail felony. 

 

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007 and apply to offenses committed on or after that date.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
