No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow the establishment of volunteer reserve police forces by the boards of trustees of school districts that have established police departments. It would allow reserve police force members who are not peace officers under Article 2.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, to act as peace officers in the disposition of their duties.
