HB752 by Dutton (Relating to the right of an employee to time off from work to participate in certain school activities of the employee's child.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Texas Labor Code to allow an employee up to eight hours of time off in a 12 month period to meet with a teacher of the employee’s child or to participate in a school activity.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
