IN RE: | HB767 by Dutton (Relating to access to certain law enforcement, corrections, and prosecutorial records under the public information law.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted |
The bill would remove from exception under the public information act certain law enforcement and prosecutorial records.
The Office of Attorney General indicates that if there is any increase in workload as a result of enactment of the bill, it could be absorbed using existing resources. The same is anticipated concerning law enforcement records kept by the Department of Public Safety. Responses from a sampling of local government entities contacted indicated that costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
