Honorable Rob Eissler, Chair, House Committee on Public Education
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB847 by Olivo (Relating to evaluation of disciplinary alternative education programs and reporting regarding the academic performance of students placed in those programs.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
While the bill would increase annual reporting requirements, the Texas Education Agency currently collects most if not all of the necessary data. Personnel costs involved in processing the data and adding them to the annual report are not expected to impose a significant fiscal burden on the agency.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
