No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
School districts would be directed to consider specific mitigating factors in decisions regarding disciplinary actions including suspension, removal to a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP), or expulsion. Current law authorizes consideration of these mitigating factors in accordance with local policy.
