No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend several provisions in Chapter 11.085 of the Texas Water Code relating to interbasin transfer application requirements. The bill would also make it permissible for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to review and comment on interbasin transfer applications from certain county judges; currently it is required that the agency review these applications. According to the TCEQ, any savings associated with this provision would not be significant.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
